Tucson, Arizona – July 15, 2016 – Pima Federal Credit Union (Pima Federal) is pleased to announce that its 4th Annual Pima Federal Golf Classic raised $50,000. Through its partnership with Tucson Values Teachers (TVT) school supplies will be provided to local teachers for their classrooms this fall via $50 gift cards compliments of Pima Federal Credit Union. Katie Rogerson, Interim Executive Director and Director of Marketing & Outreach for TVT stated, “Pima Federal makes a measurable impact for local teachers through their first-class Golf Classic event. Not only does Pima Federal help educators get the tools they need for classroom success, Pima Federal demonstrates that they’re a business willing to stand up for education and educators. Pima Federal has been the largest continuous supporter of our Tucson Supplies Teachers supply drive. We are extremely grateful for this partnership.”
Pima Federal recognizes that far too many teachers spend money out of their own pockets for their classrooms so in 2012 the Golf Classic was created to help local teachers purchase school supplies. Since its inception, $262,000 has been raised through this event and Pima Federal looks forward to continuing its efforts in years to come. This important fund raising event aligns directly with Pima Federal’s common purpose of helping others. Flowing Wells Superintendent, David Baker stated, “Pima Federal has been devoted to helping educators since its inception. The annual golf tournament continues the support by raising funds for teachers to purchase materials, putting much needed resources directly into the classroom. Thank you!”
Pima Federal Credit Union President & CEO, Eric Renaud stated, “The Golf Classic is an incredible and rewarding event where we can and do make a tangible impact in our community, particular and specifically teachers in our local schools.
