In 1951 sixteen teachers founded Pima Federal Credit Union (Pima Federal) with the simple notion that a great financial institution is about relationships, not transactions. Since inception, Pima Federal has been dedicated to providing superior service to help their members reach their financial goals while giving back to the local community – a key component of the overall credit union philosophy of “people helping people”. One example is the Pima Federal Golf Classic. Held since 2013, the credit union aims to provide support to local non-profits like Tucson Values Teachers, Greater Tucson Fire Foundation, Southern AZ Law Enforcement Foundation, Literacy Connects, and currently both Youth on Their Own and IMPACT of Southern AZ. Since inception, $628,000 has been raised and contributed to local non-profits.
