Why would a medical device engineer open a shoe store in our neighborhood?
I’m Geon, the owner of the newly opened JGP USA on Oracle Road. Until recently, I was researching and designing medical devices while pursuing my Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the U of A. (Bear Down! 
) I’ve always had a deep passion for human anatomy and biomechanics.
Last summer in South Korea, I discovered something that completely changed my path. I encountered ‘JGP,’ a biomechanics-based handmade shoe brand. From my strict engineer’s perspective, these weren’t just shoes—they were a brilliant, scientifically proven “device to rebuild your body.”
