There is a wrap around covered patio that is deep and protected.  It goes around the entire living space of the rear of the home.  The original owner had a massive rose garden with about 50 different varieties of roses.  When they put the garden in they took out all of the sand soil and filled the yard with beautiful black earth.  Paddi has added to this from time to time and that is why plants just flourish in this Master Gardener Type oasis.  There is a firepit in the yard and a fountain that can be seen from the french doors leading from the dining area and through the kitchen window.  Flowering trees and bushes abound in this lovely garden.  There is a huge bricked in open patio just outside of the artist studio that is surrounded by mature palms, crepe myrtle, fruit and other flowering trees.  It is totally private in that the surrounding wall has been raised.  The Mancave is a very special space that really suite the masculine psyche with its slate floors, monstrous fireplace and built in bookshelves.  The way Mike has his desk set up he looks out at the garden through three massive windows.
