Long Realty Company is passionate about supporting the Tucson community. The company’s charitable efforts are directed through the Long Realty Cares Foundation. Long Realty Company, including its agents and employees, are a major source of funding for the Long Realty Cares Foundation. The Foundation is being recognized by the Education Enrichment Foundation as the 2015 recipient of their Ray Davies Lifetime Achievement Award for the support it has given to education and outreach programs in the community. The Foundation is also proud sponsors (for the fifth year in a row) of the annual Primavera Cooks fundraising series, which funds their many local programs that “provide pathways out of poverty”, and also sponsors of the annual Festival For Life which benefits the Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation and their education, outreach, and assistance programs. Long Cares has been a sponsor of the Festival every year since 2002.
The Long Realty Cares Foundation ran a very successful collection for Treasures 4 Teachers in July of this year. Each branch office collected multiple truck-loads of donations for local teachers to use in the classroom. The Foundation had the opportunity to support HOPE Animal Shelter move to their new location in Marana – they are a no-kill shelter for both dogs and cats, and in their new facilities they are able to have the animals housed in comfortable living quarters where they are not in cages and are able to socialize with other cats/dogs. In the first 3 quarters of 2015 The Long Realty Cares Foundation has donated over $110,000 to 50 different local organizations plus hit a total of $2.5 million donated to local charities since its inception in 2002.
Long Realty proudly support music and the arts in Tucson. Continuing its sponsorship of the Tucson Pops Orchestra in 2015, Long Realty brings free music concerts to Tucsonans each weekend in early summer and fall. In addition, Long Realty sponsored the inaugural Tucson Jazz Festival in 2015.
Many Long Realty branch offices also organize community focused efforts with their agents. For example, the Long Realty Dove Mountain office conducted a food drive to benefit the Community Food Bank and adopted a Marana elementary school for a gift drive for less fortunate children. The Long Realty Houghton Southeast office conducted a peanut butter drive for Impact and the Vail Food Bank and collected 240 pounds of peanut butter and is now launching a second effort, this time adding cereal.
