Tucson’s new bowl game has a name, a title sponsor and a date.
The Nova Home Loans Arizona Bowl will take place Dec. 29 at Arizona Stadium, and will feature teams from the Mountain West Conference and Conference USA. The Sun Belt Conference will provide a team if the MWC or CUSA cannot fill the game. The announcement was made Thursday at the Westin La Paloma Resort.
This year’s postseason game will be Tucson’s first since 1999, when the Insight.com Bowl — now the Cactus Bowl — moved to Phoenix.
CampusInsiders.com will be the “primary media partner” of the bowl, officials say, while traditional television plans will be announced at a later date.
The game will kick off at 5:30 p.m.
